It's not too late - Watch it here!
Just over a week ago I did a Facebook live craft along to make a Christmas Star. You can make these stars in any size and decorate them or leave them plain depending on what you are doing with them.
The large ones featured in the video can be used as a wall hanging or instead of a wreath on the door. Smaller ones can be used as trees decorations or to decorate parcels.
Watch the video below to find out how to make them. It’s paced so you can work along with me. A list of items you will need is below the video.
Materials
To make a star of similar size to the one pictured:
*a sheet of card that can fit a 50cm diameter circle
*a sheet of card or stiff paper that can fit a 30cm diameter circle
*a sheet of card or stiff paper that can fit a 18cm diameter circle
* 1-2 sheets of coloured paper for smaller stars
*glue tape, glue stick or other fast drying glue or double sided tape
*a piece of think cardboard – cereal box cardboard is ideal
*sellotape or paper tape
*scissors
*a long ruler
*sharp pencil and a piece of string at least 55cm
*plates or other circular items to draw around
*compass (optional)
*decorations for the star e.g. glitter glue, Christmas shapes (snowflakes, bells, Santa, holly, snowmen candy canes etc.), sequins, washi tape, tinsel
*a piece of long ribbon or string for hanging
*stapler or safety pins

Note: cardboard needs to be thin enough that it can be shaped into cone. For small stars thick paper is sufficient and for very small stars office paper or wrapping paper can work.
I hope you have fun making a star. Seasons greetings to all.
